Instructions

Step 1

Decide where you want your apple to be on the page, and then start your doodle by drawing the stem of the apple. Add a small curve to one side to add a realistic and cute touch.

Step 2

Next, you will be drawing the leaf. The leaf will look best placed on the outer curve of the stem you drew in step 1. Draw the outline of the leaf by drawing two curved lines that make a shape similar to an eye. Finish off by drawing a line down the middle of the leaf. This line does not go all the way to the outer edge of the leaf.

Step 3

This is the trickest part of the apple...but anyone can do it!

For this step you will very lightly make an outline of the apple. Think of the shape as a squished circle with an indent at the top and the bottom of the apple. You may need to erase this, or make changes so be sure to press very lightly with a pencil.

Keep drawing until you get the shape you want, and remember nature is NOT perfect so your apple doodle does not have to be either.

Step 4

To make this apple look irresistible it's fun to add a bite mark in the side of your apple drawing. To do this mark out how big a bite you want on the same side as you have drawn the leaf. Once you are happy with the shape you can go over your line with a pen or darker pencil.

Step 5

Now draw a semi-circle from the edges of your apple shape to create the bite. Then add a curved line on the opposite upper part of your apple. This adds some more character to your apple doodle.

Step 6

The last step is the fun part. Now you can color your apple. This apple is red but you could color yours green, or even shade it to look like your favorite variety of apple.
