How to Draw A Hedgehog
Follow along with our easy Hedgehog doodle tutorial. Simply follow each step by drawing the part of the doodle in GOLD.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide where you want your Hedgehog doodle on the page and start by drawing the body of the hedgehog. This is simply a non perfect circle. Do this very lightly in pencil as you will be using the line as a guideline and erasing it later.
Step 2
Next, draw the hedgehogs spines. These can be as simple or as artistic as you like. We have done a basic spiky line that follows the body shape for ours. Take note of where to start and finish the spines on the body.
Step 3
Now draw the back part of your Hedgehog by drawing over your pencil line. Take note from the image where the line stops, as you will be adding one of your hedgehogs legs here.
Step 4
The bottom of your front part of your hedgehog is next. First you will want to draw a leg, then follow your body pencil guide along until around half way up the side of the body, then indent in and draw an ear. Finally, draw your hedgehogs second leg. You can erase any pencil line showing now ( be sure your pen marks are dry first).
Step 5
Now to draw the brow and second ear on your hedgehog.
Step 6
The next step is to add a spiky line from just behind the right ear to join up with the top on the leg on the right.
Step 7
You get to draw your hedgehogs cute face next. Again, you make this as simple or as cute as you like. We made ours look like the hedgehog was smiling.
Step 8
This step is about filling in all the spines on your hedgehog. Draw simple lines of different lengths around the body. Don't try to be too perfect and even with these.
Step 9
The last step is to have fun and color your Hedgehog drawing.
