How to draw a Gingerbread House
Gingerbread House drawing supplies
Here are some supplies that will help you create amazing doodles:
- Paper or sketchbook
- Dual Brush Pens
- Pencil or mechanical pencil with a good eraser
- Or drawing pen (this is our favorite)
- Colored pencils or markers if you feel like adding color
- Optional: white gel pen for highlights or cute lil details
How to Draw A Gingerbread House
Follow along with our easy Gingerbread House doodle tutorial. Simply follow each step by drawing the part of the doodle in RED.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide where you want your Gingerbread House doodle on the page and start by drawing a triangle. Then draw a wavy inner line. This will be the icing on the roof gable of your Gingerbread house.
Step 2
Next, draw the rest of your gingerbread house's roof. Use a wavy line for the bottom edge of the roof, for more icing effect.
Step 3
Now draw two the shape of your hose. Note how the back corner of the house is slightly shorter than the front. This will help give your gingerbread house a 3D look.
Step 4
Use a fish scale pattern to create the roof tiles on your gingerbread house.
Step 5
A door is next. Don't forget the door handle.
Step 6
Now for some decoration. We drew two circular candies for the windows but you could do any decorations that you feel like doing.
Step 7
Draw more decoration. You could use candy canes like in our gingerbread doodle or jelly tots, gummy candy or anything you want to.
Step 8
Add a chimney next. We drew stripes on ours for a candy cane effect.
Step 9
The last step is to have fun and color your Gingerbread House drawing.
