How to draw a Christmas Tree
Christmas Tree drawing supplies
Here are some supplies that will help you create amazing doodles:
- Paper or sketchbook
- Dual Brush Pens
- Pencil or mechanical pencil with a good eraser
- Or drawing pen (this is our favorite)
- Colored pencils or markers if you feel like adding color
- Optional: white gel pen for highlights or cute lil details
How to Draw A Christmas Tree
Follow along with our easy Christmas Tree doodle tutorial. Simply follow each step by drawing the part of the doodle in RED.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide where you want your Christmas Tree doodle on the page and start by drawing a triangle. This will be a guide so draw it lightly in pencil as you will be erasing it later.
Step 2
Next, draw two curved lines on either side of the triangle. These make the top boughs of your Christmas Tree drawing. Make sure they meet at a point at the top of your tree.
Step 3
Now draw two more boughs lower down on your triangle. Don't worry if these are not perfect, nature is not perfect so your doodle doesn't have to be either.
Step 4
Do the same to create the bottom two boughs but then join them up with a line along the bottom.
Step 5
Now draw the trunk of your tree. You can also erase the triangle guide now, make sure your pen marks are dry first though.
Step 6
Decorate your christmas tree doodle next with some baubles. We have drawn circles for this but you could have fun with stars and other shapes.
Step 7
Draw two wavy lines to join your boughs together from steps 2 and also from step 3.
Step 8
Add a star to the top of your Christmas tree drawing next.
Step 9
The last step is to have fun and color your Christmas Tree drawing.
